About us

PopUp Photo Parlour was dreamed up in 2009 by the mischievously creative duo Beatrice and Bertrum (aka Bertie and Bea). What began as a giddy little art project at festivals and cabaret sideshows soon took on a life of its own. Armed with their talents as makers, photographers and unapologetic dreamers, they set out to build whimsical worlds where guests could step out of the ordinary and into something altogether more magical.

Today, Beatrice and Bertrum design and produce immersive photo experiences for events across the globe. Each of their enchanting photo sets becomes a stage where guests can play, pose and transform. Behind the scenes is a treasure trove of dazzling props, curious accessories and beautifully crafted costume pieces – many lovingly made in-house – all designed to spark imagination and give the experience its signature theatrical flair.

Though their creations travel far and wide, PopUp Photo Parlour remains proudly boutique at heart. Beatrice and Bertrum intentionally take on only a select number of bookings each year, allowing them to pour their creativity and attention into every project. The result is a collection of joyful, carefully crafted experiences and the pleasure of collaborating with some of the most talented planners, producers and venues in the events world.

In short, PopUp Photo Parlour is part theatre, part photography and entirely about creating moments of delight.
